BAFET Turns Two
After a two-day tournament on the 14th and 15th of October, a dinner party held on October 22, 2006 at Kampai Restaurant marked the celebration of the second anniversary of the Badminton Association of Filipinos in East Timor (BAFET). It was an evening to remember with a crowd composed of original members, new recruits to the game and special guests.

The election of new set of officers followed, facilitated by Annabelle Cajita with assistance from Digna Pajarillo. The 35 members present agreed to elect four people to become Members of the Board. The top votes went to Gerard Mosquera, Mervin Jumawan, Oscar Hernandez and Joey Duenas. The Association of Filipinos in East Timor(AFET) President Dick Pajarillo, inducted the new set of board members into office.

Certificates of recognition were also awarded to Edwin Claveria, the Most Improved Male Player, to Arlene Mateo, the Most Improved Female Player and to Art Averion, who won the Sportsmanship Award.

The evening would not have been as special if it were not for the exceptional generosity of Jumar Balonkita, Mervin Jumawan, Joey Duenas, Ruel Mendoza, Jayvee Santos, Rusty Murillo, Felix Angulo, Cole Aton and Roque Mazaredo.
It was truly a night to cherish, with friends partying as one family, celebrating the spirit of camaraderie which BAFET embodies.
Happy Anniversary BAFET! Kudos to all!
