First Open Tournament

Gedung Matahari Terbit Gymnasium

The 1st Timor-Leste Badminton Open Tournament will be held on March 31, April 1 & 2, 2006 at Gedung Matahari Terbit (GMT) Gymnasium. Aside from the much-awaited Open Men's Doubles category, the tournament will also feature Leveled Men's and Ladies Doubles categories.

The Opening Ceremony will start at 6:00pm on Friday, March 31 and will be followed by the elimination games of Leveled Men's and Ladies Doubles competition.

Open Men's Doubles category elimination round and Leveled Men's and Ladies Doubles Semi-finals will be played on Saturday, April 1, starting at 3:00pm.

All championship games will be played on Sunday, April 3, starting at 3:00pm, after which will follow the Awarding Ceremony.

The tournament is expected to bring together the best players from Timor-Leste, Indonesia, China, Australia, Japan, Holland and the Philippines who are based in Timor-Leste.
